Overview
Multi-year project to promote the Zero-Budget Natural Agriculture model. The beneficiary families receive the necessary training and support for the cultivation of one acre of land, the fencing of the land and the cementing of the farmyard. In the first year, 10 farmers from Jawhar district were selected and trained, who were responsible for training 20 more farmers the following year. In the third year, following the same procedure, 30 more farmers were trained, so that at the end of the three years, 60 farming families were trained and 60 acres of land were cultivated under this system.
At the end of the first phase, the production of the participating families increased by 166%, which meant 198% increase in their profits. In the second phase (2022-2024), fruit tree planting will be introduced among the beneficiary families of the first phase. In addition, the model implemented in the previous phase will be replicated in the Mokhada area to train an additional 60 farming families.
