Overview

The Malembe Health Centre does not carry out a good waste management at any stage of the process (packaging, handling, transport, treatment and disposal of biomedical waste), which leads to an increasing number of infections and spreading of certain diseases among the surrounding communities. The project aims to improve hygiene and waste management at the Malembe Health Centre through the construction of a water well, a latrine and shower, an incinerator, a placenta pit, and the purchase of sanitation materials and products.
