Overview

The UDEBU women’s association in Kinshasa wants to set up a sewing workshop to promote the self-sufficiency of the women members, contributing to the improvement of their self-esteem and their living conditions by enabling them to have a profession.

The workshop will also include a shop that will sell the textile products that are made. It is hoped that in 3 years it will be economically sustainable.

After that time, they want to set up dressmaking courses for young girls in risk and social exclusion situations, in order to integrate them into social life and provide them with the necessary skills to increase their income.
